In June 2024, NeuroArts Productions piloted its first exhibition, highlighting interactive works of art that explore mental health, stigma, and the interaction between neurophysiology and environment. Our opening event featured a performance-presentation that explores mental health beyond the surface, advocating for a person-centered approach to mental health treatment and fighting stigma surrounding mental health and neurological disorders.

This performance featured premieres of works highlighting experiences with the mental health treatment system, the relationship of self and mental health, and the neuroscience of perception through improvisation and EEG technology. Visual artists featured: Summer Pengelly, SinYu Deng, Cynthia Zhou, Mary Milhaupt, Dallas McGhee-Henry, and the Aphasia Community Friendship Center. Composers features: Nicole Knorr and David Magumba.
