NeuroArts Productions is the first arts-presenting organization at the intersection of neuroscience, technology, and the arts. We implicate innovative and creative arts events to advocate for person-centered and science-integrated mental health treatment, to advance life-saving science communication, and to move beyond a one-size-fits-all paradigm for mental health treatment. Our projects span from gallery exhibitions to live performances by a wide variety of artists, typically focused on community members’ experiences with mental health, stigma, and navigating the trial-and-error treatment system.
NeuroArts Productions presents Path to Precision, our invitation to reflect on lived experiences within the healthcare system in the United States and to envision a future of true person-centered care – precision healthcare. Exhibiting artists respond to two ideas: What is your experience navigating the mental healthcare and medical system in the United States? What is your vision of a world of person-centered healthcare, free from systems of stigma, profit, and carcerality? As you walk along the Path to Precision, you will encounter personal stories, artistic expressions of mental health, and reflections that challenge the one-size-fits-all treatment system. Each piece invites you to consider the need for a paradigm shift—one that recognizes the unique neurobiology, life experiences, and environments that shape individual mental health care needs.
